Dr. Hofrath’s theraputic philosophy is grounded in Jungian-based, depth-oriented practices, neurobiology and neurophysiology; heavily influenced through shamanic soul healing practices. As an intuitive empath (light healer) Michael’s solution-oriented ‘bottom-up’ approach is highly eclectic, merging humanistic, trans-personal, existential and positive psychology theraputic approaches. As a somatic therapist he bridges the gap between the conscious (ego) and the unconscious (psyche) to heal soul wounds. This process reconnects one to their authentic self for wholeness in body, mind and spirit.
Dr. Hofrath specializes in combat-related post traumatic stress, depression, hyper-vigilance, anxiety disorders, survivors guilt, shame, moral injury, betrayal and nightmares. His expertise extends into the civilian post-traumatic stress, victim-related, natural disasters, survivor and perpetrator trauma.
